When I was 36 years old my husband died of Blood Cancer. At the time he was diagnosed we had a four month old daughter, I was suffering from postnatal depression, I was scheduled for major corrective surgery in a few days and I was running a full time PR business. Less than a year later he was gone. Prior to this I'd navigated bouts of severe bullying, redundancy, overbearing health problems of my own, and somehow started up a successful PR company in the midst of a recession among numerous other challenges. Along the way I've learned more than a thing or two about overcoming adversity, navigating uncertainty, and creating a mindset that ensured no matter the challenge, or emotional upheaval - I would find a way to not only survive but to thrive again.
I'm a proud mother, truly gifted writer, charismatic speaker, highly respected business woman, award winning publicist, passionate conscious entrepreneur, change maker and fitness fanatic. I've completed marathon, triathlons, competed as a bodybuilder and was a phenomenal fitness instructor for over ten years - with a talent for creating a palpable energy in any room, and inspiring all those who joined me to push through and beyond their own physical and mental limitations.
By sharing my highly emotive and engaging personal stories, as well as my own ongoing research and study, coping mechanisms, drivers and strategies I'm proud to offer my contagiously positive energy and inspirational outlook on life as a motivational and inspirational guest speaker to provide your event with the next level of emotional engagement necessary to create and inspire positive change in your audience or organisation.
